- Collected: Site P, Liepers Shale from Upper Ordovician in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
- Estimated Age: about 450 million years old.
- Dimensions: scale bar is .5 mm
- Comments: 15-frame animation was generated by rotating oil-covered conodont horizonally on pin fixed in stereo plane with darkfield lighting. An image was shot with ever 22 degrees of rotation (+/- estimated 4 degrees), then darkfield stage was rocked by 11.5 degree and a second sequence taken, allowing a continous stream of optical stereo images with 11.5 degree separation.. Excessive oil caused light reflection problems, and poor management of images made processing laborious. Even carefully processed images show some jitter and some mis-alignment.
